By installing, accessing, or using the DocLens Chrome extension or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DocLens is a Chrome extension that helps teachers analyze the writing process of Google Docs assignments. The Service allows users to view revision history, identify writing patterns, and export grades and comments to Google Sheets.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Free Trial

DocLens offers a 14-day free trial for new users. During the trial period, you have access to all features of the Service. After the trial ends, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service.

5. Subscription and Payment

Paid subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the applicable subscription fees
  • Automatic renewal of your subscription until you cancel
  • Cancellation at any time through your account settings or by contacting support

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Access documents you do not have permission to view
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Use the Service to infringe on the rights of others
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by DocLens and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocLens shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
